FEATURED PROJECT – THE BIOSOLAR HOUSE
Hello. I'm Andi Steinemann.
I grew up and worked in Switzerland, then spent 5 years in New Zealand on various building projects.
For a decade I’ve been employed by Swiss company Arbos as a Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor.
I resettled in Carterton three years ago, and am enjoying bringing my international and local experience in building and design to the Wairarapa.
I’m equally comfortable wielding a hammer, creating designs, or planning construction.
I specialise in the following areas:
Got a building job that needs doing right?
Apprenticeship and work as a landscape gardener, log builder and carpenter in Switzerland and New Zealand
Advanced Trade Certificate as carpenter in Switzerland
Steinemann Builders in Carterton: several new residential buildings, alteration work & restaurants
Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor for Arbos AG in Switzerland.
2015: Returned to New Zealand.
Andi has settled in Carterton and worked on many projects in Wairarapa and Wellington with a focus on design for sustainable, prefabricated, warm and affordable homes.
